This was my first hike from the book.  The directions and description were perfect, lulling me into a false sense of security on future hikes.

From the book “A 1,000-acre patch of open space along the edge of San Francisco Bay, Coyote Hills was the homeland of Ohlone Indians for more than 2,000 years….It’s a park for wandering, with or without a formal plan.”

This was a very beautiful area and a great place to bring a family or group for a day long trip.  There is one area in particular where miniature remote control gliders perform aerobatic maneuvers in the wind and appear to be birds on speed from a distance. Very cool!!  My only complaint was the amount of small plane traffic in the area.  There must be an airport and training school nearby.  Usually it’s the traffic I can’t stand.

These are low res pictures.  I can send you higher quality pictures if you want them
