Mt. Charleston Area

Distance: 3 miles – round trip

Elevation Gain:    1,000 feet

Elevation Peak:    8,600 feet

Time:    2.5 hours

Difficulty:   2

Danger Level:    1

 

The trail starts off easy, flattens out, then becomes steep before reaching the peak.

 

Cathedral Rock, the second most popular trail in Mt. Charleston, is a good hike for beginners.  You can see Cathedral Rock…[and] from the peak, you enjoy fantastic vies of the lodge and parts of Kyle Canyon.

This is a nice little starter hike.  Good views, a little incline, and great weather!!!!
