Liberty Bell Arch

Lake Mead Area – Southern Hikes

Distance: 5.0 miles

Elevation Change:    151 feet

Difficulty:    2

Overview:   The path heads west to Liberty Bell Arch.  from the Arch it travels to an overlook of the Colorado River

Comments:   This is a must-do hike.  Thousands of years of wind and rain have formed a spectacular arch through the conglomerate rock, and a perfect lunch spot overlooks the Colorado River.  The rugged terrain and the solitude of this hike will appeal to anyone who likes the outdoors.

This is another good starter hike to get used to hiking in the desert.  The pictures don’t do the view justice because they were incredible and I would recommend this hike to anyone after warning them to use the guidebook to find the trailhead then leave it behind and just follow the path.

Here’s the pics (Click on the picture to see full size):

These are low res pictures.  I can send you higher quality pictures if you want them
