Echo Trail heads west, then SE, before a path veers west up a steep slope to the overlook.
The overlook offers a great view of the Mt. Charleston Lodge and the homes on Echo Drive. Don’t let the short distance fool you; the path, which is easy to follow, is one of the steepest in the Mt. Charleston area..

This was started pretty easy but was pretty tough at the end. Again the author is on crack about the easy to follow trail that was easy until the last run to the overlook and I’m still not sure I was in the correct spot. The park rangers had never heard of this hike and were surprised to see it in the book.
