Earthquake Park, Anchorage, AK

One of the biggest earthquakes in North America occurred in Anchorage.  It lasted 5 minutes and they had to re-scale the Richter Scale afterward because it was larger than the previous maximum. The clay collapsed under the stress and an entire neighborhood was lost.  Lina was excited to see the carnage, but it is just a pretty park. We donated an entire bottle of bug spray to a bus tour who forgot theirs.  they were lucky because the mosquitoes are almost as big and nasty as we had in Yellowknife.
