Hiking Southern Nevada

by Branch Whitney and Huntington Press

Mt. Charleston Area

Distance: 1 miles – round trip

Elevation Gain:    less than 200 feet

Elevation Peak:    none

Time:    30 – 45 minutes

Difficulty:   1

Danger Level:    1

This is a perfect hike for beginners or for families. Early spring is the best time to see water flowing from the falls…Officially there’s not a Little Falls trail, but that’s what the locals call this part of Echo Trail.

This was a great little hike that isn’t official because people steal the trail signs faster than they can put them up according to the Park Rangers. As you head into the small canyon around the falls, the temperature drops about 10 degrees which felt fantastic. I was surprised to find that Little Falls was bigger than Mary Jane Falls and Big Falls combined.

These are low res pictures.  I can send you higher quality pictures if you want them
