Trail of the 100 Sequoias

This is the worst managed National Park I have ever experienced to date.  I came here for the second time and asked for a recommendation for a day hike between 8-12 miles and they suggested this trail.  The trail was an hour and a half away and I was amazed to discover that it was only 2 miles long and they wanted me to pay a $5.00 parking fee.  I parked without paying the fee (I have an annual pass that’s supposed to get me into any national park) and was as I walked down the trail to find a “Trail under construction” sign that cut the trail down to about a mile.

That being said, the trees were very big and you can get an idea by squinting at one of the pictures below to see the person at the base of the tree.  Granted the woman is short to begin with, but you will get an idea of the scale.
